Emily Boksenbaum is the Colorado-based artist, designer - maker behind UnderHill Leather Studio. Her footwear journey has taken her all over the country and introduced her to many wonderful people who share her love of shoemaking.

Emily has learned from talented makers across the US, including a leather surface designer in Chicago, a shoemaking school in Brooklyn, NY, a saddle-making mentor in Durango, Co, and a third-generation cowboy boot maker in Albuquerque, NM. Her specific skill set lead her to work as an innovation designer in the corporate footwear industry, and then to the production side, making footwear in a small batch factory in Hoboken, NJ. All of these experiences have shaped the UHL brand and Emily aims to use her expertise to bring you the boots of your dreams.

UHL provides a different kind of shopping experience, informed by a desire to produce sustainably and with purpose. Each order starts with a conversation that addresses personal style, durability, and respect for the resources that serve us. The name UnderHill references both the street name where the brand was created and the spirit of recognizing our relativity to the nature around us.
